Realistically speaking, there are only a handful of teams out there that can make a trade work in order to acquire the 23-year-old superstar. Out of the usual suspects, I believe the Yankees have an excellent shot at making a deal work with the Nationals and will, in fact, do so. For starters, they play in a different league than the Nationals, the Yankees will pay Soto long-term, Yankees are in win-now mode.
The Bronx Bombers have plenty of tradable assets in both current MLB players and prospects. I could easily see something such as:
I will admit I am a Yankees fan, and I want this to happen. That being said, the Yankees have failed time and time again to sign and/or trade for the player(s) that I have wanted when they are able to make a move for said player. Very curious to see how this all plays out, but my bet would be with the pinstripes to be the next home of JUAN SOTO!!!!
