The torpedo bat has taken baseball by storm. Every day, it seems like more and more players are using or ordering the bats. But how do we know if the bats are making that huge difference? Got to use some math for that.
I took 15 players who we know are using torpedo bats and got their AVG, HR, OPS, and Average Exit Velocity. I will list it all out below player by player, but for those too lazy to scroll down, I will give you the totals.
HR totals were easy to add up; it was 17, which is not a crazy number. But, I am bad at math, so I used Chat GPT to do other calculations for me.
This is what I found.
Clearly, the players using the torpedo bats right now are hitting better than league average. Are they out of this world numbers like everyone is making it seem? No, not at all, really.
Now, I will continue to track these numbers every few weeks or so, but all I see every morning is stats on torpedo stats. We might as well break it down and see how big a difference they are making.
Here are the players I found who are currently using torpedo bats and their stats.
