Honorable Mentions:
Jackson Merrill - San Diego Padres
San Diego has struck gold and found themselves with another young outfielder with a bright future ahead of him. Almost a .300 hitter while combining that with power and speed. The Padres might want to get the checkbook out before arbitration starts for this guy.
Career: 24 HR | 16 SB | 90 RBI | 31 2B | 29 BB | .292 AVG | .326 OBP | .500 SLG | .826 OPS | 4.4 bWAR
Wyatt Langford - Texas Rangers
Langford was a part of the crazy talented 2023 MLB Draft Class where he was selected 4th overall. His stock skyrocketed before fantasy drafts last season and for good reason. It is a no-brainer that Langford is a talented player. Generating 3.9 bWAR in his 1st MLB season is impressive and I think he is just getting started.
Career: 16 HR | 19 SB | 74 RBI | 25 2B | 51 BB | .253 AVG | .325 OBP | .415 SLG | .740 OPS | 3.9 bWAR
Mike Trout - Los Angeles Angels
Arguably the best player of my generation, depending on how one defines “generation”. If he is healthy all season, he can easily finish as a top-5 outfielder if he misses time as usual, not so much.
Career: 378 HR | 212 SB | 954 RBI | 311 2B | 980 BB | .299 AVG | .410 OBP | .581 SLG | .991 OPS | 86.0 bWAR
Teoscar Hernandez - Los Angeles Dodgers
Hernandez has earned 3x Silver Slugger Awards, and 2x All-Star nominations as well as 3x top-20 in MVP voting finishes in his ten-year career. Overall, he is a great bat and as consistent as they have come over the past five seasons.
Career: 192 HR | 54 SB | 573 RBI | 193 2B | 279 BB | .262 AVG | .320 OBP | .487 SLG | .807 OPS | 17.5 bWAR
Michael Harris II - Atlanta Braves
Harris II is one of the most intriguing players in all of baseball. He just turned 24 years old and has already racked up three straight seasons of 3.2 bWAR or better. Elite defender paired with a great hit tool, power, and speed. He can get even better in 2025 which is scary.
Career: 53 HR | 50 SB | 169 RBI | 74 2B | 74 BB | .285 AVG | .325 OBP | .469 SLG | .794 OPS | 11.8 bWAR
Mookie Betts - Los Angeles Dodgers
The second player on this list that I have mentioned who will be a 1st Ballot inductee for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Betts is elite wherever he plays. Dodgers management will be deploying Betts at Shortstop this season, but if he gets any outfield reps, he has to be considered top-10 at the position.
Career: 271 HR | 188 SB | 831 RBI | 371 2B | 675 BB | .294 AVG | .373 OBP | .524 SLG | .897 OPS | 70.3 bWAR
James Wood - Washington Nationals
This one is a stretch, as he has only played in 79 games so far in his young career. Wood is incredibly talented, and the baseball world is waiting for this future star to take off.
Career: 9 HR | 14 SB | 41 RBI | 13 2B | 39 BB | .264 AVG | .354 OBP | .427 SLG | .781 OPS | 1.1 bWAR
Brenton Doyle - Colorado Rockies
Back-to-back Gold Glove awards in his first two seasons are super impressive from Doyle. He is a very trendy sleeper pick this year as the hitting potential has yet to hit its peak. If he puts together a solid season at the plate, Doyle has to be considered, considering the speed and defense are elite.
Career: 33 HR | 52 SB | 120 RBI | 40 2B | 68 BB | .236 AVG | .289 OBP | .403 SLG | .692 OPS | 4.9 bWAR
10) Jackson Chourio - Milwaukee Brewers
It’s hard to have a better Rookie year, than what we just saw from Chourio in 2024. Not only were the counting statistics super impressive, but he also was 3rd in Rookie of the Year voting and 22nd in MVP voting. Technically Merrill did better than him in voting but Chourio’s upside has a higher ceiling than Merrill and I expect to see that upside in year two and beyond for this young man.
Career: 21 HR | 22 SB | 79 RBI | 29 2B | 39 BB | .275 AVG | .327 OBP | .464 SLG | .791 OPS | 3.8 bWAR
9) Jarren Duran - Boston Red Sox
I am not a huge fan of Duran’s, but he earned a spot in the top-10 following his 2024 8.4 bWAR season. The speed/power combination is legit, and he is batting at the top of one of the best lineups in baseball. I expect the counting numbers to continue to grow especially as he is 28 years old and in the middle of his prime.
Career: 34 HR | 67 SB | 142 RBI | 99 2B | 96 BB | .272 AVG | .326 OBP | .457 SLG | .782 OPS | 10.0 bWAR
8) Yordan Alvarez - Houston Astros
Alvarez will likely play limited outfield and mainly designated hitter for Houston in 2025. That being the case, if he plays the minimum amount of game to qualify for the outfield he has to be thrown into the mix for the top 10.
Career: 164 HR | 148 SB | 466 RBI | 148 2B | 318 BB | .298 AVG | .390 OBP | .583 SLG | .973 OPS | 23.6 bWAR
7) Corbin Carroll - Arizona Diamondbacks
One of the fastest players in baseball. Carroll is a weapon on the base paths and combines that with a solid hit tool and power. He came back very strong last season after a slow start and looks all the part of a top-10 outfielder in this league. You can bet 20+ home runs and 35+ stolen bases with this guy every year, which is ridiculous. In 2023, he won Rookie of the Year, was 5th in MVP voting, and was an All-Star. At age 24, the sky is the limit for Carroll.
Career: 51 HR | 91 SB | 164 RBI | 61 2B | 138 BB | .258 AVG | .340 OBP | .469 SLG | .809 OPS | 9.9 bWAR
6) Julio Rodriguez - Seattle Mariners
J-Rod is probably my favorite player in baseball that is not a Yankee. I am a sucker for Mike Trout as well, but Julio is right there for me. Rodriguez is entering year 4 of his MLB career, and he has achieved 20-20 seasons in his first three years in the bigs. He has the power to hit 30+ bombs a season, especially as he matures into his 24-year-old body. Pair that with elite speed, and you will have one of the best players in all of baseball. Not to mention, he has already finished top-7 in MVP voting twice (2022 & 2023). If he hadn’t had a slow start in 2024, he could have easily done that for a third year in a row. I like Julio in 2025 to claim his 1st American League MVP award.
Career: 80 HR | 86 SB | 246 RBI | 79 2B | 125 BB | .277 AVG | .334 OBP | .467 SLG | .801 OPS | 16.1 bWAR
5) Ronald Acuña Jr. - Atlanta Braves
If it weren’t for the injuries, Acuña Jr. would be higher on this list. Maybe even number 1? Two torn ACLs since 2021 are not ideal yet he somehow put up a 40 HR - 70 SB season in between these devastating injuries. He will be back this season and if he can get to 100%, we will find Acuña Jr. back in the top 10 next year. The good news is he is an elite hitter and still has power regardless of the knee surgeries.
Career: 165 HR | 196 SB | 417 RBI | 145 2B | 368 BB | .289 AVG | .379 OBP | .525 SLG | .904 OPS | 25.6 bWAR
4) Fernando Tatis Jr. - San Diego Padres
Tatis Jr. is one of the most polarizing players in the sport. On one side of the argument, he is immature and a cheater. On the other side, he is one of the most talented baseball players we have come across in the last couple of decades. If he stays healthy in 2025, we can be looking at another monster season. He is in his prime at age 26, and we should expect Tatis Jr. to continue mashing as long as he’s available.
Career: 127 HR | 109 SB | 322 RBI | 109 2B | 204 BB | .279 AVG | .350 OBP | .533 SLG | .883 OPS | 21.3 bWAR
3) Juan Soto - New York Mets
TRAITOR!
Soto is one of the best bats of this generation and is almost guaranteed a spot in Cooperstown, given how successful he has been in his first seven years of Major League Baseball.
Career: 201 HR | 57 SB | 592 RBI | 179 2B | 769 BB | .285 AVG | .421 OBP | .532 SLG | .953 OPS | 36.4 bWAR
2) Kyle Tucker - Chicago Cubs
Tucker has now proven that he is one of the best outfielders in baseball. The Houston Astros knew he is going to cost a fortune after the 2025 season so they decided to move him for some younger pieces to the Cubs this offseason. Now the Cubs have the responsibility of signing Tucker or they might have made a very, very bad trade.
Career: 125 HR | 94 SB | 418 RBI | 136 2B | 277 BB | .274 AVG | .353 OBP | .515 SLG | .868 OPS | 22.8 bWAR
1) Aaron Judge - New York Yankees
Aaron “Arson” Judge is the best outfielder in baseball. I am not being biased here. Judge not only passes the eye test, but he also has the stats to support this claim. The Hall of Fame is not out of reach but he got a late start to his career so these next three years are vital to the 32 year old’s chances of attaining Cooperstown glory.
Career: 315 HR | 53 SB | 716 RBI | 173 2B | 127 BB | .288 AVG | .406 OBP | .604 SLG | 1.010 OPS | 52.6 bWAR
