I debated not writing this and just beginning to focus on my season review that is coming out this week. But that would
Be the equivalent of Kenley Jansen leaving the Red Sox three days before the season ends.
This would be a bad example for Brett. He would think there are such things as days off in the content game.
My full season review will come out sometime this week, so some stuff will be missing here. For example, I will discuss Nick Pivetta more in the season review. He was fine in this series.
Overall Takeaway
At least the team didn’t get swept….
Game 1- Rays 2-1
Game 2- Rays 7-2
Game 3- Red Sox 2
What I Loved
Joe Castiglione
Sox did a great job honoring him today. Loved that NESN had him in the booth.
Vaughn Grissom
Literally, zero power, but he is batting .280 in the last 15 games. There is no world where the Red Sox will go down as “winning this trade,” but if he can become a utility piece for the team next year, that is a slight win.
Writing These Series Review’s
I ended up writing 35 of these series reviews this season. I started slightly late and missed a few here and there, but overall, I am proud of how consistent I was in writing these. They started off with a pop in terms of views, and I thought, let me ride this out until people are bored of it. But seemingly, people enjoyed them because the numbers never dipped, and they slowly went up and down. I will bring these back to you all next year.
Quinn Priester
As I typed this, Sam messaged me saying, “Respect Red Sox Quinn Priester,” and I couldn’t agree more. He is 24 years old and has, as the kids say, “stuff.”
Trevor Story Finishing Strong
He has a .800 OPS in the last 15 games. I don’t know where he will fit next year, but I hope he comes out strong and doesn’t lose another shoulder.
What I Was "Mid" About

Kenley Jansen/Cora
I have some pretty strong feelings about Jansen and Cora that I am going to lay out in the season review. So, keep your eye out for that.
