As always, let us start with a quote from MLB Insider Matt Rosen
“At least we still have the Fenway experience.”

Overall Takeaway
Ain’t much to say in this series. I feel like it was depressing from the first pitch on Patriots Day. More than anything I am just frustrated with Red Sox Nation on Twitter. It is totally okay to be frustrated and annoyed at the state of the team, I can be negative sometimes as well. But everytime I go on Twitter now it is just “personalities” and writers tearing down the team. Not fun. Hoping for a better weekend.
Game 1- Guardians 6-0
Game 2- Guardians 10-7
Game 3- Red Sox 2-0
Game 4- Guardians 5-4
What I Loved
Tanner Houck
Really the only true bright spot to come out of this series. His complete game was the first since 2022 and prior to that it was 2019. Hand up I never loved the fact that they made him a starter. But it is impossible to deny he is absoultely killing it and that start was one of the best this season across the MLB.
Kutter Crawford
He has a 0.42 ERA. What else can the guy do? Next goal is to go six innings!
Wong and McGuire
Combined they have compiled 0.6 WAR so far this season. I view them as one person, so this is a huge jump start compared to last year where they finished with a 1.9 WAR.
What I Was “Mid” About
Masataka Yoshida
With every fiber of my being, I want to keep him in the “mid” to loved category. He was 0-10 this series and didn’t even play in the last two games. I hope this weekend will change things.
Red Sox Defense
Four errors over four games.
Has been better.
Still should be defenestrated.
What I Didn’t Love
Devers, Whitlock, and O’Neil Injuries
Whitlock and O’Neil have both hit the IL. At this point, Devers is just getting an MRI. He can’t catch a break, and I feel that a reset is needed. The fact that he didn’t leave the game on Monday after colliding with O’Neil was insane, and he looked dead. I truly hope O’Neil does not turn into this year’s Adam Duvall. We saw what happened last year with Anthony Rizzo and his concussion.
Everything that happened Monday.
No words are needed.
