Overall Takeaway
I pretty much put this blog on auto send when I heard Triston Casas was due up in the ninth.
Even though Boston lost the series, there was a lot more to “love” then to hate”
Game 1: Red Sox 10-2
Game 2: Blue Jays 7-6
Game 3: Blue Jays 4-2
What I Loved
Alex Bregman
I am starting to wish that he did not get an opt out after this season.
Devers Still Being A Walk Machine
Rafael is still hot and cold with the bat, but he is no longer chasing and still leads the American League in walks. Casas could learn a thing or two from watching Devers climb out of his slump.
Garret Crochet/ Tanner Houck/ Lucas Giolito Quality Starts
I don’t know if people realize how huge it is if Giolito ends up being above average. Seriously, it takes this team and makes one of the favorites to win the Pennant.
I think Houck could end up in the bullpen, but they are actually doing great right now, so I guess keep trying to get QS out of him.
Aroldis Chapman
I wanted to punch him in the face when he would stand and stare down Red Sox players after throwing 104 MPH down the middle to strike them out. Now that he is doing it for Boston….. I love it.
What I Was "Mid" About
Trevor Story
Sneaky 1-13 this series. Not great, but he is still having a good season. I am giving him another week of leash.
What I Didn't Love
Kristian Campbell Injury
Not only did I have to watch David Hamilton and his .091 BA, but my fantasy team also suffered. That being said, Hamilton had a sick diving play Thursday evening.
Extra Innings Rule
Believe this is was the third game that the Red Sox lost in extra innings. I suppose they have benefited from the ghost runner rule, but it hurts so much to lose from it.
