I thought the game was at 1:10 pm today, so I rolled into bed, ready to turn on the game. I was upset to see that it would start at 4:10 pm. So, I turned on Netflix and watched Adam Sandler in Murder Mystery 2. I would give it a 6.5/10 for what it is. I then fell asleep for a short nap, sleeping past Sale and giving up three runs. I turned on the game, and the first thing I saw was Sale screaming at the ump… “that’s a strike.. it’s a fucking strike”. Devers followed this with a great play to end the inning, and I was locked in.
I was writing this live and immediately became unlocked in as Sale imploded and the Sox went down 7-1. Pausing and will return to the blog when the game is over.
I’m back.
Heck of a game. Very fun to watch, although the Red Sox clearly should have lost if it wasn’t for that drop at the end.
Biggest No Bueno
Frankly, Sox shouldn’t have won lol. Also, while playing from behind can get exciting, it will not result in a winning record this season.
Biggest Muy Bueno
Adam Duvall doesn’t suck, and the bullpen was good. Kelly, Winckowski, Schrieber, Martin, and Jansen combined to only give up one run over six innings.
Biggest Pequeno Bueno
It shouldn’t be a surprise, but it is nice to see Devers start off hot after the contract. It would have been frustrating to see Red Sox fans on Twitter complain about his deal if he got off to a slow start in two games… which they totally would.
