Dodgers Tigers Series Review
Another showing of mediocrity. Thank God it's the All Star break.
All I can say is, thank God it’s the All Star break. Despite being 56-40, with a 7 game lead in the NL West, the first half of the season was a nightmare of injuries and mediocre play. Disgusting bullpen effort in another series L. 13-14 to end the first half is gross, I’m glad I don’t have to watch them for the next week. Banish Yohan Ramirez forever, PFP practices for the next week, buddy. Now go get some pitching and a MIF please.
What I Loved:
Sho-time Ohtani
Tied the first half record for most XBH of any Dodger, and was our Savior in Game 1. How can you not love the guy?
Brent Honeywell
Got his first Big League start as a Dodger and actually threw great. 3 strong innings and picked up 2Ks. Would love to see him in the bullpen in the second half
What I was Mid About:
Gavin Lux
Actually has been swinging it much better over the last few weeks, still not a fan but if he’s somewhat productive I’ll take him as a bench bat. Still way better than the rest of platoon guys they’ve been rolling out, so I’ll lay off him this week.
What I Didn’t Love:
The Bullpen
I’ll be honest, the bullpen sucks. Has been the bottleneck over the last handful of seasons and they never make a change. Blew a 5 run lead in game 1, and game 3.
Yohan Ramirez
You should be banished to the shadow realm for his PFP performance. Field your damn position.
Chris Taylor
Time to hang ‘em up Chris. In the lineup every day because we have not acquired anyone to take the spot. Go get a MIF.
James Outman
Has 8 K’s in his first 14 PA since being called back up. I think the experiment is over. Either send him down or don’t put him in the lineup.
The Training Staff?
Yamamoto gets added to the 60-day IL and Dustin May is done for the year with esophagus surgery. WTF is going on behind the scenes?
