Digesting The Juan Soto Rumors

Most Americans lie on the couch, digesting their Thanksgiving meals while watching football.

Not me.

Besides believing football has become increasingly unwatchable, I have been staring at Juan Soto rumors all day, some of which I posted myself. I actually feel very vindicated because, for the first time in my life, my predictions and the reports I am getting from sources are hitting. Now, that does not mean things can not change, but right now, I am giddy.

Let’s break down how today has gone so far.

Appetizer

So, late morning, we got a post from “Mick” on X confirming that the Red Sox have signed Soto for a 12-year deal with no deferred money. The post exploded and caused a lot of Red Sox online personalities to ignore their families and address the rumors. I have seen this account before, and they have broken some Boston news in the past and been accurate. I do not know their sources, but I applaud them for going for it. With the post being seen over 2 million times and garnering the attention of most of the baseball world, this is very much a make-or-break moment for him. I hope he is right.

Dinner

After Mick's post, the posts started coming in hot and fast. There are plenty of rumors, predictions, hot takes, and more to ingest. Many of these reports, some of which I put above, are coming directly from the Dominican Republic.

The Trip To The Bathroom After Dinner

I have been saying on X to remember that when Rafael Devers signed his extension a few years ago, no big shots announced it. It was the local reporters from the Dominican Republic. The ones who live down the block from Juan Soto’s family and have known one another for decades. So, I am sorry Jeff, but I am going with them.

If Jeff is talking about the “Mick” guy here, I have no problem with the post. I do if he is talking about the guys from the Dominican Republic.

The Dessert

The dessert is me and my source texting.

I am not going to post this on X, but for our loyal followers who click here on the blog I will post it. Does it say anything crazy? No, but it at least confirms to me what is going on.

I do not know what is going to happen with Juan Soto, but I will say this, we have heard little to no rumors about any other team than the Red Sox. Could it be Scott Boras throwing smoke to piss of the Yankees and have them up the offer? Very possible, even likely. Regardless, I am going to enjoy every second of it.
