I feel like we are in a weird spot with MLB where they are finally starting to highlight their stars, but maybe too much sometimes?
Hear me out.
Elly De La Cruz and Shohei Ohtani are AMAZING, but have you seen the way the MLB social accounts “glaze” them? It is nauseating at times.
Meanwhile, a number of players, as you will see below, barely get any recognition week to week.
I get it, Gavin Lux hitting .611 over 18 at-bats isn’t as sexy as Elly De La Cruz going 1-5 with a homer, 3 Ks, and a stolen base.
What about Austin Hays producing the same amount of bWAR in a quarter as the number of games?
Blasphemy!
