Doing All-Time lineups is something I planned to start in January, similar to my “Top 10 at X Position” blogs I did last year. Those were a lot of fun to do, and somehow continue to get thousands of views a year later. I realized that 30 teams are more than nine positions, so I decided to start a little early.
Here are my rules
Can not be in the Hall of Fame for another team.
If a player is not in the Hall, they had to play the majority of games for the team I put them on.
Have to keep them in their natural positions, except LF/RF.
Someone like Tris Speaker makes the “majority of games” rule hard. He doesn’t have a team on his Cooperstown cap, and he played the most games for Cleveland. However, he was by far more successful in Boston. So, I am making an exception for the players who do not have a hat on their plaque. Sue me.
I will also be listing their career stats below. For someone like Williams, who spent his entire career with Boston, that doesn’t matter. Someone like Jimmie Foxx, however, is split down the middle. But I want people to get the full scope of how good some of these players are.
Again, there is going to be 30 of these, so buckle up.
