If you followed the Red Sox game just on Twitter you would have thought it was the worst Opening Day in team history. If you watched it in person you would have seen it was the worst Opening Day in team history.
Biggest No Bueno
The team was able to come back and lose only by one run. However, it was immediately clear that the pitching is going to be an issue and will hold this team back from any potential chance at the playoffs. Brasier and Ort simply just don’t belong on this roster. Maybe when the rest of the arms get healthy this will change.
Biggest Muy Bueno
Masataka Yoshida was given the platform for all Red Sox fans to see him. Yoshida made his introduction to many Americans during the WBC where he broke a record for RBI’s in the tournament with 13. Today at Fenway he went 2-4 with an RBI and run scored. He also showed his ability to extend an at bat and looked comfortable in LF.
Biggest Worry
When the Red Sox were coming back they went back to just trying to slam the ball out of the park, mainly Devers. Outside of Devers and Yoshida I do not feel confident in any of these players to come up clutch. Going back to bed.
