I want to start this by saying, I like Aaron Judge and think he is amazing. I know that sounds in genuine with the title of this blog being “Aaron Judge Is Bad,” but it’s the truth.
Twice this summer I was buried on X for defending Mike Trout’s legacy against Judge fans. I was talking strictly about the regular season, and yet, trolls kept bringing up Mike Trout’s playoff resume. As you know, this resume is nonexistent.
Now that we are about halfway through the 2024 playoffs. I thought it was a fair time to bring out Aaron Judge’s playoff resume. Frankly, it stinks. Especially when you compare it against his career earnings.
I am not going to sit here and try and breakdown the analytics. It would be boring. Instead, I am going to give you a list of players who have had plenty of playoff experience. Some are stars, some are utility players, others are kind of bums who happen to be stars in the postseason. All however, perform better or at the level of Aaron Judge.
If Aaron Judge is the best player of our generation, he needs to perform better than Kike Hernandez in the playoffs…..
Just a note, I put career earnings. So, don’t get confused when you see Judge’s money only in the low $100 million….
